Hi all, I am now having many poke-thru issues. Everything looks just fine on the screen for DAZ, but on the render there are patches of poke-thru all over the place.
    Any thoughts?

What version of DAZ are you using? Have you turned on the smoothing iterations and adjusted the collision indicator settings? If you have done so, at the bottom of the screen you will see a yellow progress bar. You need to wait and let it finish updating to see the actual fit on character before rendering it.

i am using the last one (4.6.1.17) all is ok in my scene (yellow bar and collision indicator).
I really dont understand why i have poke through in my render …..

I actually hardly ever have any poke through issues. What poke through issues I may have is normally fixed by the smoothing and collision settings.

have you tried this yet http://3d-stuff.ru/poke-away/ i often have to go in manually and adjust or just correct poke through in postwork .. there are a good majority of my characters i had made custom morphs or objects for that dont always like to play nice with daz clothing

i downloaded poke away but i dont have any poke through in my scene …. they are only in render ……

What rendering engine are you using? Like I said earlier if I can’t resolve poke through I fix it in post work …. Becoming handy with a airbrush helps a lot…

Try making adjustments with the displacements of both “poker” and “pokee”. If that still fails, disable the parts of the “poker” that are hidden by the “pokee”. If still not successful, then post work is the last resort.

I am using 3delight. And i am fixing those poke through in post work too.
But i was wondering how this can happens …

You won’t see the effects of the bump and displacement maps until you render.

This is the answer you were looking for. The displacement map is causing the figures skin to poke through the clothing. A quick and easy way to fix this is download: http://3d-stuff.ru/subsurface-toolbox/

After uploading this to your runtime click on the figure in question > Surfaces (color) click on the figure again > in content library click…[Read more]

well I just updated to the latest DAZ 4 Pro version, 4.6.133 and now having poke-through issues as well. Everything looks good on the screen before render…poke-through shows up after rendering. Weird.

      • EveTom 3 years, 11 months ago

Yes it is very weird ….. and i can only fix that with post work 🙁

Use Poser Pro 2014 with Morphing tool(tightening brush) ,easy to work and mainly no more poke through etc.

Works well and if you are prefer to render in DAZ3D,save as .obj/scene and import to any 3D program like DAZ3D,C4D/3DS Max etc
